Carnevale in Adelaide title

CARNEVALE 2011 "ITALIAN FUN, FOOD AND FAIR FESTIVAL"

ADELAIDE SHOWGROUND 12th & 13th FEBRUARY 2011

After having humble but exciting beginnings in Rundle Mall, Elder Park, Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval and the Rymil Park the Italian Festival/Carnevale has now moved to a new and exciting location - The Adelaide Showground.

The outstanding previous success and growth of this major event in Adelaide has given us the wonderful opportunity to relocate the Carnevale to the Adelaide Showgrounds.

The Adelaide Showground will offer the whole South Australian community the opportunity to experience the wonderful atmosphere in the newly renovated facilities.

In air-conditioned comfort the public will have the opportunity to experience "Italy in Adelaide", with the newly built Goyder Pavillion, State of the Art Duncan Gallery, the Jubilee Pavillion.

The excellence of the outdoor plaza will be transformed into the typical Italian piazza with its aromas, foods, market style marquees and alfresco outdoor dining areas.

The newly paved and landscaped plaza with fountains and coloured lighting giving us all the essence of Italy on the warm summer nights of Carnevale.

What a wonderful way to sit back and absorb the exciting atmosphere of the Italian lifestyle which has become so much part of our South Australian culture!

The Coordinating Italian Committee is recognised for staging this major fundraising event. It is one of the major festivals in Australia and one of the many festivals on the South Australian calendar. It contributes to the proud tradition of the Festival State. It is an opportunity for the South Australian community to share its vibrant culture and traditions with the rest of the community.
